New 3D printer factory is opened in Donetsk

The opening ceremony of the new enterprise “3D-Techno” took place in the capital of the DPR.

This is the first DPR manufacturer that specializes in the production of 3D printers, three-dimensional printing and robotics.

ʺWe are launching the production of 3D printers in the DPR today. Three-dimensional printing is not a technology of the future anymore. It is widely used in all developed countries. You can create almost any necessary object or its component from children’s toys to an arm prosthesis or details of a mechanism,ʺ the company director Mikhail Kondras told journalists.

According to him, products will cost half the price of Russian analogs, will be three times cheaper than the western ones and will have the same quality. There were models of 3D printers presented at the opening ceremony and printed sample products such as screw, sunglasses, figurines and others. In addition, the manufacturing process of vases and pole toppers with the symbol of the Republic was demonstrated.

ʺWe are launching a new enterprise today that will be producing 3D printers. This is an advanced technology that can be applied in different fields, including medicine, industrial production and construction. I hope that the products of this company will be much in demand, both in our Republic and abroad,ʺ the representative of Industry and Trade Ministry Elena Shcherban said.

“3D-Techno’s” staff consists of 10 people at the moment. They do not plan to increase staff in the near future. The plan is a manufacture of laser cutting machines and construction printers with the help of which you can construct buildings in no time.

FAQ: 3D printer is a device that allows you to create physical objects from 3d model. 3D printers are widely used in scientific institutions, by enterprises and in the construction industry. You can create details of various mechanisms with the help of these devices. However, there are cases when entire buildings were constructed by means of 3D printers within the shortest possible period of time. The Shanghai company WinSun printed a five-storied building and a mansion in 24 hours in 2014. The giant 3D printer, which is able to print a house with a total area of 250 square meters, passed the first test at the University of Southern California.
